Capturing waste plastic

Can you use plastics manufacturing to reduce the amount of plastic in our environment?

We definitely believe so. As you may have seen in a previous post, we have successfully printed a structural component out of 100% recycled nylon.

One of our core goals as a company is to ensure a sustainable future for us and our environment. We want the net effect of our production processes to be a reduction in environmental plastic, rather than adding to the problem.

When we print useful, structural components from recycled plastics, we are actually removing it from the environment and capturing it within our product life cycle.

We have partnered with a consortium of companies under the TransformCE project, aiming to revolutionise materials consumption, moving to a more circular supply chain.

Therefore, once plastic is captured in our products, we envision it being captive indefinitely.

Talk to us about your manufacturing sustainability goals, let’s see how we can help you to achieve them.
